The pink blush and fresh crispness of our first Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé is followed by a richness, depth, a broad texture and a long finish that is rarely found in "mere" Rosé. While clearly built for fun, this is one Rosé that deserves to be taken seriously.
Earned a 91 from Wine Enthusiast. This magnificent vintage of our flagship Cab is characteristically dark and brooding with an inviting halo of red-purple and the mouthwatering flavors of earth, coffee and licorice, followed by a long, angular finish. You will love this wine now and those who patiently wait for two to three years will be rewarded.
This offering is an extraordinary dark purple-blue-black wine. Breathe in deep for the captivating aromas of ripe plums with a hint of green olive and crushed black pepper. The spell continues with a long, grippy finish. This wine is wonderful now, and if you can muster the patience to wait through a couple years of cellaring, you will be rewarded with a mature smoothness that you will absolutely love. Earned a 92 from Wine Enthusiast and a 93 from The Connoisseurs Guide to California Wines. Filled out with compelling and long-lasting Zinfandel fruit and remarkably adept at managing its high ripeness, this gusty, full-bodied youngster is exceptionally well-balanced for the big wine that it is. Rather than running to softness, it firms and tightens up as it goes, and its fine spine of integral tannins tags it as one that will only get better if allowed four or five years of age.
Planted in 1956, Frediani’s extraordinary block of Zinfandel is well-known for producing the fruit of the quintessential Calistoga Zinfandel. This wine features juicy peach and fresh strawberry aromas and flavors nestled in a dark red-black color that tints the glass in the same way the rich fruit flavors coat the mouth. Though totally dry, Zinfandel from this block tends to finish long and firm with a round, smooth perception of sweetness.
This offering features exotic, ultra-juicy aromas bursting from the glass with luscious layers of berry and ripe peach flavors. Solid acid and firm tannins balance the natural ripe sweetness treating you to an enjoyable, lingering finish.
Explore the wonderfully complex nose, with hints of grapefruit layered among aromas of butterscotch and caramel. The palate opens with a hint of leechee berry, followed by flavors of cantaloupe and pear.
The French toast aromas swirled with cinnamon, clove and vanilla prelude the round and moderately full flavors that embrace the palate. This wine is rich, though balanced enough to serve with delicate fare such as fresh-caught sole meunière.
The brilliant gold, thick liquid seems to move slowly when the glass is swirled. Aromas of bananas, melon, peach and lemon zest work nicely with the subtle hint of jasmine. Round flavors of sweet honey and juicy melon balance the solid acid and lingering finish ending in a slight, near bittersweet bite. This wine begs to partner with something warm from the oven; perhaps apple pie.
