Vermeil Wines Welcomes Trent Green and Todd Collins to Ownership Team
CALISTOGA, CA (July 15, 2009) – Dick Vermeil, Super Bowl winning Coach and two-time NFL Coach-of-the-Year, and winemaker Paul Smith recently welcomed Trent Green and Todd Collins to the ownership team of Vermeil Wines.
“We are proud to have two great athletes and two great people like Trent and Todd join our organization,” said Vermeil. “They bring a level of positive energy that only comes from individuals who have tasted success in their professional careers and know what it takes to get there.”

Trent Green was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the eighth round of the 1993 NFL Draft and enjoyed a long and successful playing career. He played college football at Indiana University. Green also played for the British Columbia Lions, Washington Redskins, St. Louis Rams, Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins. He earned a Super Bowl ring in 1999 with the Rams and was selected for two Pro Bowls with the Chiefs.
Todd Collins, quarterback of the Washington Redskins, was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 1995 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan. Collins played the majority of his NFL career for the Kansas City Chiefs.
