2018 Rosedale Block Cabernet
Hand Picked on September 27th 2018
19 Months - 70% new French Oak, 30% Neutral French Oak
The aromas are elegant and soft with notes of lavender, dried herbs, plush leather, vanilla and cola. This wine is fresh and pure and has great structure. The Rosedale is typically bold and powerful up front, but gives way to multiple layers of developing tannin, wet stone minerality and finesse. Ages 20+ years.
Rosedale Road connects to Pickett Road and runs East and West along a portion of the Frediani Vineyards. Planted in 1992 to Clone 7, the vines have southern facing exposure and are trained using to Geneva double curtain method. The Rosedale block comes from 6 select rows of the land where we harvest this single block Cabernet Sauvignon. Grown in a richer, bale clay loam soil, which gives it a distinct flavor profile from its Pickett Road counterpart.
