Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
One of our two single block wines, the Rosedale is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon planted along Rosedale Road, cutting through the middle of the Frediani Vineyards. A pinnacle wine of our Signature Series, this has aromas of crushed brick, rose petals, cranberry compote, and cigar box. The palate is medium to full bodied, vibrant upon first taste and evolves with time in the glass. Notes of slate rock, rose petal, crushed rock, and cigar box surrounded by velvet and elegant tannins. Aging potential 15-20 years.
Vineyard Notes
Rosedale Road connects to Pickett Road and runs East and West along a portion of the Frediani Vineyards. Planted in 1992 to Clone 7, the vines have southern facing exposure and are trained using to Geneva double curtain method. The Rosedale block comes from 6 select rows of the land where we harvest this single block Cabernet Sauvignon. Grown in a richer, bale clay loam soil, which gives it a distinct flavor profile from its Pickett Road counterpart.
