This Grenache wine captivates with a deep, ruby red color. It exudes a
mesmerizing aroma of black cherry, scorched earth, and savory notes. On the palate, it glides in
smoothly, revealing the intense flavors of black raspberry and subtle hints of cocoa. The wine

Vineyard Notes
The Tofanelli family has been farming their 40 Acre estate right in the heart of
Calistoga since 1929. This completely organic and dry farmed estate boasts rows of head
trained vines that drape over the center of the plant. The soil is tilled 6 inches every year which
acts as an insulating later and keeps the deeper soil moist in the hot summer months. The
sunny days and cool nights of Calistoga contribute to the optimal ripening conditions for
Grenache grapes, allowing them to develop their characteristic ripe fruit flavors and retain good
acidity.
