2019 Pickett Road Block
Hand-picked and Sorted on September 25th, 2019
20 Months - 75% New French Oak, 25% Neutral French Oak
One of our two single block wines, the Pickett Road is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon planted along Pickett Road perpendicular to Silverado Trail. A staple wine in our Signature Series with aromas of black licorice, charcoal, and pencil shavings. Flavors of plush blackberry, raspberry jam, and slate rock. This is a full-bodied wine with broad structure and power that will benefit from aging to allow tannin integration. Aging potential 15-20 years.
Planted in 2000 to Clone 4, the vines run North to South and are trained in the VSP (Vertical Shoot Position) method. The inspiration to this wine’s namesake, this location also happens to be where some of the very best blocks in this Vineyard are located due to the deep rocky soils.
