2018 Pickett Road Block

In Stock
On the nose, toasted vanilla, dark lush black fruits, violets and graphite. The flavor expression has intriguing plushness that gives way to great weight and structure throughout the entire wine. The powerful yet balanced tannins give length to the finish. The shoulders of this Pickett Road always take a little time to soften wit aging. Will age wonderfully over the next 25+ years.

Tasting Notes
On the nose, toasted vanilla, dark lush black fruits, violets and graphite. The flavor expression has intriguing plushness that gives way to great weight and structure throughout the entire wine. The powerful yet balanced tannins give great length to the finish. The shoulders of this Pickett Road always take a little time to soften with aging. We recommend laying this wine down while drinking your other Vermeil reds, or giving it an hour decant prior to serving. Ages 25+ years.
Vineyard Notes
Planted in 2000 to Clone 4, the vines run North to South and are trained in the VSP (Vertical Shoot Position) method. The inspiration to this wine’s namesake, this location also happens to be where some of the very best blocks in this Vineyard are located due to the deep rocky soils.
